The Magic Flange Nut is a Made-in-Korea inner flange for compatible 5/8-11 angle-grinder setups. Keep the grinder's original outer lock nut and tighten it firmly before use. After the wheel fully stops, turn the Magic Flange Nut backward by hand to help relieve the clamping pressure for removal.

The problem

Seized nuts kill your flow.

An angle grinder's outer lock nut can become difficult to remove after cutting or grinding under load. Removal may require the correct pin spanner and can interrupt the next disc change.

Standard setup

A tightened outer lock nut may require the correct pin spanner before the wheel can be changed.

With the Magic Flange Nut

On a compatible setup, turning the inner flange backward by hand after the wheel fully stops helps relieve the clamping pressure for removal.

How it works

Replace the inner flange. Keep the original outer nut.

Install

Replace the stock inner flange only on a compatible 5/8-11 grinder using a non-threaded 7/8-inch-arbor wheel.

Secure the wheel

Set the wheel on the flange, reinstall the grinder's original outer lock nut, and tighten that outer nut firmly before use.

Release after full stop

After the wheel stops completely, turn the Magic Flange Nut backward by hand to help relieve the clamp, then remove the original outer nut.
