Inner-flange quick-release · Hand-installed once · Made in Korea

The quick-release built into the inner flange.
Keep your original outer nut.

Stop losing time looking for the pin wrench. Magic Flange Nut installs once as the inner flange beneath the disc on confirmed compatible U.S.-standard 5/8-11 setups. For routine disc changes, disconnect power or remove the battery, wait for a complete stop, then release the disc by hand. Your grinder's original outer lock nut stays in use and must be securely tightened.

Safety and fit: Compatible 5/8-11 setups only. Disconnect power or remove the battery and wait for a full stop before touching the wheel or hardware. Keep the original outer nut in use and securely tightened. Follow the grinder and wheel manufacturers' instructions. Not for M14 or X-LOCK.

The problem

Spend less time looking for the pin spanner.

A difficult outer lock nut or a misplaced pin spanner can slow a disc change. Magic Flange Nut installs once as the inner flange and provides a routine hand-release sequence on confirmed compatible U.S.-standard 5/8-11 setups after power is disconnected and the wheel fully stops. The original outer lock nut remains in use.

Standard setup

The outer lock nut can become difficult to release after use. Stop, disconnect power and use only the manufacturer-specified removal procedure.

With the Magic Flange Nut

After disconnecting power and waiting until the wheel fully stops, follow the grinder manufacturer's spindle-lock procedure and attempt to turn the Magic Flange Nut backward by hand. Stop if it does not move normally.

How it works

How does the hand-release sequence work?

On a confirmed compatible U.S.-standard 5/8-11 grinder configuration, thread the Magic Flange Nut clockwise by hand until seated and retain the original outer lock nut. Use a suitable wrench on the octagonal flats only when completely removing the Magic Flange Nut. Disconnect power, wait for a complete stop and follow the grinder manufacturer's spindle-lock procedure before attempting hand release.

01

One-time hand installation

After confirming a compatible 5/8-11 setup, thread the Magic Flange Nut clockwise by hand until seated. Do not wrench-tighten it; use a suitable wrench on the octagonal flats only when completely removing the Magic Flange Nut.

02

Retain and tighten the outer nut

Use only a wheel confirmed compatible with the exact grinder, guard and 7/8-inch-arbor mounting configuration. With a thin disc, the original outer nut's flat face must contact the disc and the raised face points outward; reversing it may prevent proper clamping and allow the disc to slip or spin.

03

Release by hand

Disconnect power and wait for a complete stop. Follow the grinder manufacturer's spindle-lock procedure, then attempt the hand-release step. If it does not move normally, stop and follow the manufacturer's service guidance.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

The short version: confirm the exact configuration, install securely, retain and properly tighten the original outer lock nut, disconnect power and wait for a complete stop before attempting hand release. U.S.-standard 5/8-11 threaded spindles only.

Is my Magic Flange Nut stuck?

Disconnect power and wait until the wheel fully stops. Follow the grinder manufacturer's spindle-lock procedure, then attempt to turn the Magic Flange Nut backward by hand. If it does not move normally, stop and follow the manufacturer's service guidance.

Do I need a pin spanner to change grinder discs?

Install the Magic Flange Nut once by hand as the inner flange and keep the original outer lock nut in use. For routine disc changes on a confirmed compatible 5/8-11 setup, disconnect power, wait for a complete stop and follow the grinder manufacturer's spindle-lock instructions before hand release. Do not force hardware that does not move normally.

Does disc size matter — 4-1/2, 5, 7, or 9 inch?

Do not determine compatibility from disc diameter alone. Confirm the exact grinder model's U.S.-standard 5/8-11 threaded spindle, a compatible non-threaded 7/8-inch-arbor wheel, the guard and all manufacturer instructions before use.

How do you install the Magic Flange Nut?

After confirming a compatible 5/8-11 setup, thread the Magic Flange Nut clockwise by hand until seated. Do not wrench-tighten it. Use a suitable wrench on its octagonal flats only when completely removing the Magic Flange Nut. Keep the grinder's original outer lock nut and tighten it firmly at every wheel change.

Which angle grinders does the Magic Flange Nut fit?

It fits angle grinders with a 5/8-11 threaded spindle — the common U.S. thread on many 4-1/2 to 9 inch grinders — used with non-threaded 7/8-inch-arbor wheels. Check the spindle thread in your grinder's manual before ordering. It does not fit M14 or X-LOCK grinders, and hub-threaded wheels don't use a separate inner flange.

Why does my thin cutting disc slip or spin?

With a thin cutting disc, the original outer lock nut's flat face must contact the disc and its raised face points outward. Reversing it may prevent proper clamping and allow the disc to slip or spin. Securely tighten the retained outer nut and stop use if the wheel, guard, or hardware does not seat correctly.

Does the Magic Flange Nut fit M14 or X-LOCK grinders?

No. The Magic Flange Nut is made only for 5/8-11 threaded spindles. It does not fit M14 spindles — common on grinders sold outside North America — or X-LOCK mounts, and no adapter arrangement is supported. If your grinder's manual lists M14 or X-LOCK, this flange is not for that tool.

ShoppingLand Sales Partner Program

Share your link or QR. Earn 20% on eligible Amazon sales.

Apply in your own name. After approval, ShoppingLand creates your personal link or QR to the Magic Flange Nut 2-Pack on Amazon. Amazon Attribution records eligible sales from that link, and ShoppingLand pays you 20% of attributed promoted-product sales.

No account or inventory required

You do not need an Amazon affiliate account, a website, a social following, or product inventory.

ShoppingLand pays 20%

At the current $31.99 Amazon price, the example commission for one eligible 2-pack sale is $6.40. This is not a customer discount.

90-day pilot terms: 20% of eligible Amazon-attributed promoted-product sales · no fee or inventory · one sale credits one sales partner · no recruiting or parent-code commission · 45-day reconciliation hold beginning when positive attributed sales are first reported · monthly payout when the cleared balance reaches $25.
How exclusions are verified: Sales canceled, returned, refunded, declined, or removed from Amazon Attribution reporting are not eligible before clearing. Self-purchases and fraudulent activity are excluded only when reasonably verified by ShoppingLand after review. A risk signal may pause payout while ShoppingLand requests an explanation; one signal alone—including a shared IP address or store Wi-Fi—does not prove a violation.
Reconciliation: ShoppingLand routinely reloads the latest 28 days of Attribution data as an internal safeguard and replaces provisional sales and commission with the newest snapshot. Day-45 clearing requires a fresh Attribution recheck. During the 90-day pilot, an unmatched or post-clear late return is not automatically charged back to the partner; ShoppingLand records and absorbs that limited variance unless separate reasonable evidence establishes self-purchase or fraud.
Sales proof: Your link uses its own Amazon Attribution ad group and tag. Purchases, units, and promoted-product sales reported for that tag are the normal evidence. Customers do not submit their name, contact information, order ID, or screenshot for ordinary sales. The encrypted order form below is used only when a reported sale appears to be missing and the purchaser volunteers the information.
Getting paid: Sign up first. After your first attributed sale, ShoppingLand sends a private one-time payout-setup link for PayPal or Venmo, Zelle, or bank direct deposit through Square. Financial and tax details are not collected in this application. ShoppingLand—not Amazon—pays the commission.
After payment: Once an approved commission has been paid, the partner controls its private use when that use was not promised or conditioned on an Amazon purchase. ShoppingLand does not direct, administer, reimburse, or routinely monitor that private use and does not collect customer-level records of it. This autonomy does not authorize advertising, promising, or providing an off-Amazon rebate, discount, or customer benefit conditioned on a purchase through the link. Independent activity must not be represented as a benefit provided or guaranteed by ShoppingLand or Amazon and must comply with applicable law and marketplace policy.

ShoppingLand funds and pays the 20% commission. Amazon controls price, availability, checkout, and Attribution reporting but does not pay this program's commission. Approval and link activation are not automatic. See the Privacy Policy and Terms.

Missing-sale dispute only

Was a referred Amazon sale not reported?

Ordinary sales require no customer submission. Use this encrypted form only after the sales partner reports a missing sale and the purchaser voluntarily agrees to help ShoppingLand investigate it.

Optional encrypted dispute record: Name, contact information, and Amazon order ID are encrypted before storage. A one-way order fingerprint prevents duplicates. Records are scheduled for deletion after 180 days unless an open dispute requires a limited extension. This is not marketing consent and does not guarantee commission.

Do not enter a payment-card number, bank-account number, Social Security number, or full shipping address. ShoppingLand pays any approved commission; Amazon does not pay this program's commission. See the Privacy Policy.
