Inner-flange quick-release · Hand-installed once · Made in Korea
Stop losing time looking for the pin wrench. Magic Flange Nut installs once as the inner flange beneath the disc on confirmed compatible U.S.-standard 5/8-11 setups. For routine disc changes, disconnect power or remove the battery, wait for a complete stop, then release the disc by hand. Your grinder's original outer lock nut stays in use and must be securely tightened.
Corrected full guide
This current guide shows the inner-flange difference, first installation by hand, the correct outer-nut face for a thin disc, the full-stop release sequence, the optional washer, complete product removal, and 5/8-11 compatibility limits.

Safety and fit: Compatible 5/8-11 setups only. Disconnect power or remove the battery and wait for a full stop before touching the wheel or hardware. Keep the original outer nut in use and securely tightened. Follow the grinder and wheel manufacturers' instructions. Not for M14 or X-LOCK.
The problem
A difficult outer lock nut or a misplaced pin spanner can slow a disc change. Magic Flange Nut installs once as the inner flange and provides a routine hand-release sequence on confirmed compatible U.S.-standard 5/8-11 setups after power is disconnected and the wheel fully stops. The original outer lock nut remains in use.
The outer lock nut can become difficult to release after use. Stop, disconnect power and use only the manufacturer-specified removal procedure.
After disconnecting power and waiting until the wheel fully stops, follow the grinder manufacturer's spindle-lock procedure and attempt to turn the Magic Flange Nut backward by hand. Stop if it does not move normally.
How it works
On a confirmed compatible U.S.-standard 5/8-11 grinder configuration, thread the Magic Flange Nut clockwise by hand until seated and retain the original outer lock nut. Use a suitable wrench on the octagonal flats only when completely removing the Magic Flange Nut. Disconnect power, wait for a complete stop and follow the grinder manufacturer's spindle-lock procedure before attempting hand release.
After confirming a compatible 5/8-11 setup, thread the Magic Flange Nut clockwise by hand until seated. Do not wrench-tighten it; use a suitable wrench on the octagonal flats only when completely removing the Magic Flange Nut.
Use only a wheel confirmed compatible with the exact grinder, guard and 7/8-inch-arbor mounting configuration. With a thin disc, the original outer nut's flat face must contact the disc and the raised face points outward; reversing it may prevent proper clamping and allow the disc to slip or spin.
Disconnect power and wait for a complete stop. Follow the grinder manufacturer's spindle-lock procedure, then attempt the hand-release step. If it does not move normally, stop and follow the manufacturer's service guidance.

FAQ
The short version: confirm the exact configuration, install securely, retain and properly tighten the original outer lock nut, disconnect power and wait for a complete stop before attempting hand release. U.S.-standard 5/8-11 threaded spindles only.
Disconnect power and wait until the wheel fully stops. Follow the grinder manufacturer's spindle-lock procedure, then attempt to turn the Magic Flange Nut backward by hand. If it does not move normally, stop and follow the manufacturer's service guidance.
Install the Magic Flange Nut once by hand as the inner flange and keep the original outer lock nut in use. For routine disc changes on a confirmed compatible 5/8-11 setup, disconnect power, wait for a complete stop and follow the grinder manufacturer's spindle-lock instructions before hand release. Do not force hardware that does not move normally.
Do not determine compatibility from disc diameter alone. Confirm the exact grinder model's U.S.-standard 5/8-11 threaded spindle, a compatible non-threaded 7/8-inch-arbor wheel, the guard and all manufacturer instructions before use.
After confirming a compatible 5/8-11 setup, thread the Magic Flange Nut clockwise by hand until seated. Do not wrench-tighten it. Use a suitable wrench on its octagonal flats only when completely removing the Magic Flange Nut. Keep the grinder's original outer lock nut and tighten it firmly at every wheel change.
It fits angle grinders with a 5/8-11 threaded spindle — the common U.S. thread on many 4-1/2 to 9 inch grinders — used with non-threaded 7/8-inch-arbor wheels. Check the spindle thread in your grinder's manual before ordering. It does not fit M14 or X-LOCK grinders, and hub-threaded wheels don't use a separate inner flange.
With a thin cutting disc, the original outer lock nut's flat face must contact the disc and its raised face points outward. Reversing it may prevent proper clamping and allow the disc to slip or spin. Securely tighten the retained outer nut and stop use if the wheel, guard, or hardware does not seat correctly.
No. The Magic Flange Nut is made only for 5/8-11 threaded spindles. It does not fit M14 spindles — common on grinders sold outside North America — or X-LOCK mounts, and no adapter arrangement is supported. If your grinder's manual lists M14 or X-LOCK, this flange is not for that tool.
