An angle grinder's lock nut seizes because cutting torque drives the wheel to self-tighten the clamp with every heavy cut. By the end of a session the outer nut can be far tighter than you left it — and the pin spanner that removes it is famously the first tool a shop loses. Disc diameter doesn't matter. Once the Magic Flange Nut is fixed on the spindle, every wheel — 4-1/2, 5, 7, or 9 inch — seats on the same flange face and the same non-threaded 7/8-inch arbor. The real requirements are the grinder's 5/8-11 spindle thread and the wheel's 7/8-inch arbor hole, not the disc's diameter.

No. The Magic Flange Nut is made only for 5/8-11 threaded spindles. It does not fit M14 spindles — common on grinders sold outside North America — or X-LOCK mounts, and no adapter arrangement is supported. If your grinder's manual lists M14 or X-LOCK, this flange is not for that tool.
