For routine disc changes, disconnect power or remove the battery, wait for a complete stop, then release the disc by hand. The grinder's original outer nut stays in use and must be securely tightened.

The problem
A strongly tightened outer nut or a misplaced pin spanner can slow a wheel change. Magic Flange Nut gives shops a repeatable hand-release sequence on a compatible 5/8"-11 setup after power is disconnected and the wheel has completely stopped.
Is the intended grinder, wheel, guard, thread, and outer-nut arrangement compatible with the product and the manufacturer's instructions?
Wait for a complete stop → move the disc opposite the working rotation to relieve clamping tension → remove the retained outer nut by hand.
How it works
After confirming a compatible 5/8"-11 setup, thread the Magic Flange Nut clockwise by hand until seated. Do not wrench-tighten it; use a suitable wrench on the octagonal flats only when completely removing the Magic Flange Nut.
Keep the grinder's existing outer nut and tighten it securely. With a thin disc, the outer nut's flat face must contact the disc and the raised face points outward; reversing it may prevent proper clamping and allow the disc to slip or spin. Follow the grinder and wheel instructions.
After the tool has fully stopped, move the disc opposite the working rotation to relieve clamping tension, then remove the outer nut by hand.
